4 members of family killed in road accident in Punjab

Patiala: Four members of a family, including two minors, were today killed when their motorcycle was hit by a vehicle near the Shambhu border in this district, police said.

Devinder Sharma (30) along with his wife Shivani Sharma, eight-month-old son Sumit and daughter Diksha (8) were on their way to pay obeisance at Mansa Devi Temple in Manimajra, Panchkula when the accident took place on the Shambhu Tepla road, they said.


According to the police, Devinder, Shivani and Sumit died on the spot, while Diksha succumbed to her injuries when she was being taken to the Government Medical College and Hospital in Chandigarh.  PTI
