GURDASPUR: In a significant operation, the Border Security Force (BSF) successfully intercepted and recovered 6.3 kilograms of heroin concealed within a battery near the international border in the Gurdaspur sector on Tuesday evening. Acting on specific intelligence inputs, BSF personnel launched a thorough search operation near Dostpur village, under the jurisdiction of Kamalpur Jat post.

An official statement from the BSF confirmed that during the search operation, vigilant jawans uncovered six concealed packets containing narcotics. Upon closer inspection, the contents were identified as 6.3 kilograms of heroin.

Significantly, The illicit substance had been ingeniously concealed within a 12-volt battery, revealing the sophisticated methods employed by traffickers to evade detection. Furthermore, amidst the recovered contraband, a separate packet weighing approximately 70 grams, suspected to contain opium, was also seized by the security personnel.
