CM Mann had ordered to shut down the factory
FIROZPUR: The Zira Liquor Factory Case has reached the Punjab and Haryana High Court. The Punjab Government had dismissed approval under the Water Prevention and Pollution Control Act and had not given any clarity on the appeal against the approval. The High court had ordered Punjab government to issue clarity in the matter within two weeks.
The factory owners allege that the government is not allowing their factory to run under the pressure of the protestors sitting outside their factory. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann had ordered to shut down the factory.
As per reports, the factory owners have requested the High Court to hear this matter before other officials and issue a verdict. The High Court has now directed the Punjab Government to issue clarity after looking at all the aspects of the case within two weeks.
