Event aimed to instill an entrepreneurial spirit and foster innovation amongst students

CHANDIGARH: Sri Guru Gobind Singh College in Sector-26, Chandigarh, in collaboration with Mahatma Gandhi National Council of Rural Education (MGNCRE), organized an insightful one-day workshop focused on Entrepreneurship and Innovation as flourishing career options. The event aimed to instill an entrepreneurial spirit and foster innovation amongst students, encouraging them to explore diverse career avenues.

The workshop welcomed esteemed Resource Persons, Samarth Sharma - Advisor, MGNCRE, and Ajay Tanwar - Advisor, MGNCRE. Dr. Navjot Kaur, the Principal of the college, extended a warm welcome to the participants and highlighted the significance of promoting an entrepreneurial mindset among the youth.

Samarth Sharma began the workshop by delving into the fundamental aspects of entrepreneurship. He discussed key elements such as recognizing opportunities, conceptualizing business ideas, and nurturing an entrepreneurial mindset critical for personal and economic growth. Ajay Tanwar, on the other hand, shed light on the pivotal role of technology and innovation in contemporary businesses.

Utilizing real-life examples and insightful case studies, the Resource Persons showcased how aspiring entrepreneurs can navigate challenges and capitalize on the abundant opportunities presented by the global marketplace. The discussion emphasized the importance of acquiring the right skills, fostering the appropriate mindset, and leveraging robust support systems.

Dr. Navjot Kaur, the Principal, underscored the vital role of innovation in an entrepreneur's journey and commended the efforts of the Institute Innovation Council and MGNCRE-SAP of the college for organizing this enriching workshop.
