The trains impacted by this decision are the Inter City Express with train number 14506, originating from Nangal Dam and traveling to Anandpur Sahib, Kiratpur Sahib, Bharatgarh, Ghanoli, Rupnagar, Nawan Morinda, Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Beas, and Amritsar. Closure Duration:

Train No. 14505 Inter City Express will be non-operational from December 1, 2023, to February 29, 2024, while Train No. 14506 Inter City Express will remain closed from December 2, 2023, to March 1, 2024. The temporary halt in these services may inconvenience passengers and impact business operations in destinations like Amritsar Sahib, Beas, Jalandhar, and Ludhiana.

Attributed to the onset of fog, Northern Railway has implemented speed restrictions on all trains running in various directions. Traffic Inspector Tejinder Pal emphasized that this yearly measure is crucial for preventing accidents during low visibility periods. The speed limit during fog has been set at 40 km per hour.

Tejinder Pal advised the public against taking risks near railway tracks during foggy weather. He emphasized the challenges of sudden train stops and the need for cautious behavior near railway crossings. Additionally, he urged pedestrians to avoid railway tracks and cross only at designated areas. With fog reducing visibility, these precautions become paramount for ensuring the safety of both commuters and railway personnel.
