Punjab School Timings Amid Fog and Cold Weather Latest News: In light of rising concerns over children’s safety during foggy and cold weather conditions, the Punjab State Child Rights Protection Commission has issued strict orders to enforce compliance with the school opening timings set by the Education Department.

Kanwardeep Singh, Chairman of the Commission, expressed concern over reports of private schools ignoring official guidelines and opening before the designated hours. He highlighted that such violations not only disregard the safety protocols but also put children’s lives at risk, especially during adverse weather conditions.

Recent incidents involving school bus accidents in poor visibility conditions have drawn attention to the issue. “The lives of children are being endangered due to the negligence of certain schools that choose to operate outside the prescribed timings,” Singh said.

In response, the Commission has mandated the School Education Department to take strict action against private schools that fail to adhere to the rules. Singh warned that in case of any accidents resulting from such violations, the responsibility would lie with the school’s principal and administrators.

To ensure strict implementation of these orders, the Commission has directed all District Education Officers, Child Protection Officers, and the Police Department to monitor school timings closely. Immediate action will be taken against institutions found violating the directives.

The move comes as part of the state’s commitment to safeguarding children during the winter months, emphasizing that their safety should be a top priority for all educational institutions. Parents have welcomed the Commission’s initiative, calling for stricter enforcement to avoid mishaps in the future.
