Punjab Holiday News: Administrative Decision to Observe Valmiki Jayanti Shobha Yatra Garners Support

Punjab Holiday News: The Jalandhar administration has made a significant decision to mark the occasion of Valmiki Jayanti. The administration has issued an order for the closure of schools, colleges, and ITIs (Industrial Training Institutes) on October 27. Notably, the initial order had indicated that educational institutions would be closed only until 2 pm, but a revised directive issued on Thursday now mandates a full-day closure.

Vishesh Sarangal, Deputy Commissioner, highlighted that a Shobha Yatra is slated to take place on October 27, aligning with the celebrations of Lord Valmiki Jayanti. With this in mind, the administrative decision to keep educational institutions closed for the entire day was made. Clear instructions have been relayed to all schools within the jurisdiction of the municipal corporation.
