The district administration has announced a complete lockdown in Gidderbaha from Saturday to Monday. A complete lockdown has already been imposed in Punjab in weekends and now Gidderbaha has imposed lockdown for three days.
The administration said that the decision was taken because of the growing number of corona cases in the city to break the corona chain.
More than 17,000 cases have been reported in India in the last 24 hours, according to data released by the health department. At least 418 people have been killed so far.
