Coronavirus in Punjab Latest News Today: The Punjab government has swung into action after detecting the first case of the new COVID-19 variant in the state. A 51-year-old woman from Yamuna Nagar, Haryana, who was visiting relatives in Mohali, tested positive and is currently admitted to a private hospital in the city.

The Punjab Health Department is actively tracing individuals who came in contact with the patient and has intensified COVID-19 testing across all districts and government medical colleges. Authorities have also begun a thorough review of the preparedness of oxygen plants, ventilators, and ICUs, ensuring that the healthcare infrastructure remains battle-ready.
