Domestic Dispute Turns Fatal in Bharowal Village as Son Confesses to Assault Leading to Father's Demise

Punjab Murder Latest News: In a distressing incident unfolding in Baharowal village, a son, reportedly under the influence of alcohol, launched a violent attack on his own father using bricks. The horrifying assault left the father severely injured, leading to his untimely death. The accused, identified as Lakhvir Ram, son of Dilbara alias Dilbagh, has been apprehended by authorities.

Late in the night on November 22, Lakhvir Ram returned home from work at approximately 10:30 pm, only to discover his father, Dilbara alias Dilbagh, outside the house gate in the street, wrapped in blankets and with profuse bleeding from his head. Upon inquiry, Lakhvir's elder brother, Madan Lal alias Budhu, claimed that their father had fallen from the roof, resulting in the injuries.

Concerned about the severity of the situation, Lakhvir contacted Gurjit Singh, the village Panch, who promptly arranged for transportation to Civil Hospital Banga via a 108 ambulance. Medical attention was provided to Dilbara alias Dilbagh, revealing additional injuries on his head. When questioned again, the father disclosed that Madan Lal alias Budhu had inflicted these injuries after a heated altercation. Tragically, Dilbara alias Dilbagh succumbed to his injuries and passed away shortly thereafter.

In response to the incident, Inspector Rajiv Kumar from Thana Sadar reached the hospital, taking custody of the deceased's body and initiating further proceedings. The Banga Police acted swiftly, registering a case against Madan Lal alias Budhu under Section 302 based on the statements provided by Lakhvir Ram. The accused has been arrested, and the legal process is underway.
