A suspicious but "very low" intensity blast was reported at the railway line near Khanpur Village in Fatehgarh Sahib in Punjab, news agency ANI reported on Saturday.
Ropar Range DIG Nanak Singh told the news agency that a minor blast was reported at around 9:50 pm last night, and a train driver sustained a minor cut on his cheek.
The train has not suffered any major damage, the police officer confirmed, and neither has the track.
Ropar Range DIG added that the train movement will resume soon and that a “scientific manner” investigation by the police is underway.

“We are coordinating and in communication with other agencies. This case will be solved soon. The accused will be arrested soon.”
He emphasised that the blast was not a minor one and was of very low intensity.
Forensics and teams from other agencies have been called to the scene. Further specialised agencies will be on the scene, he added.
