Youth will be able to apply online from May 27 to June 17

CHANDIGARH: A Notification has been issued on Saturday regarding the recruitment process for 700 posts of Constable (Executive) in Chandigarh Police. Youth between 18 to 25 years will be able to apply online from May 27 to June 17. The written test will be held on July 27 and then the physical test will be held in September. If everything goes well, the candidates appearing in the merit list will be sent for training at Sarangpur Police Training Center of Chandigarh Police in October.

Notably, For the first time, a bumper recruitment of 700 constables is going to take place in the police department. 223 posts will also be filled for women. In constable recruitment, E.W.S. 393 men will be recruited on 84 posts in the category. 23 posts will be filled from backlog vacant quota.

For constable recruitment, the fee has been fixed at Rs 1,000 for General and OBC category, Rs 800 for SC and EWS category. There will be no fee for ex-servicemen. The written test will be of 100 marks, in which negative marking (0.25) is also kept. Three languages- Hindi, Punjabi and English options will be available in the examinations. Choice of language has to be filled at the time of application. Questions related to general knowledge, reasoning, numerical ability and language skills will be asked in the written test. The written test will be offline and objective type.
