Dept act as a bridge between the Aam Aadmi (Comman People) and the Government- Bhupinder Singh

CHANDIGARH: 2012 batch IAS Officer Bhupinder Singh has assumed charge as the new Director of Information and Public Relations Department, Punjab at Punjab Civil Secretariat-1 in Chandigarh today.

The Director emphasized the importance of the department to act as a bridge between the Aam Aadmi (Comman People) and the government as well as to ensure that the people friendly policies of the state government reach the grass root level. He also emphasized on the importance of social media to ensure maximum reach of government policies and programs keeping in mind the demands of the present modern age.

Bhupinder Singh, who is also holding the post of Special Secretary, Power Department, asked the officers and other staff of the department to work in unison to leave no stone unturned in promoting the people-friendly initiatives of the government.
