Training Initiatives Commence for Staff as PSEB Eyes Digital Question Papers to Curb Costs and Prevent Leaks

Punjab School Education Board Latest News: In a stride toward Digital India, the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) is set to revolutionize its examination system by introducing digital question papers for the upcoming class 12th practical examinations in the academic year 2023-24. The initiative aims to streamline processes, reduce costs, and enhance security against paper leaks.

To implement this digital transformation, the PSEB has scheduled training sessions for examination staff and related personnel, commencing today and extending until November 24. As part of the preparatory phase, a mock test is scheduled for November 29 to evaluate the effectiveness of the digital examination process.

The decision to adopt digital question papers aligns with the government's efforts to curtail expenses incurred by the board and enhance the overall security of the examination system. This move follows the successful implementation of digital question papers for the Punjabi subject, further motivating the board to extend the practice to other subjects.

As part of the procedure, the PSEB plans to release question papers for subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Home Science through a secure online portal. The portal will be fortified with password protection and encryption measures to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of the examination papers. Teachers specializing in these subjects will conduct the examinations.

The Education Board has developed a software solution, equipped with a unique login ID for each examination center. The process involves entering a password on the login ID, followed by an OTP verification. Once completed, the digital question paper will be accessible for the class 12th practical exams, providing a secure and efficient means of conducting assessments. The successful execution of digital question papers for practical exams sets the stage for future plans to extend the digital medium to written subject examinations.
