Tragic Road Accident Claims Life of ASI in Phagwara: Motorcycle Collides with Combine Machine

PHAGWARA: A Devastating road accident on the Phagwara Hoshiarpur Road has claimed the life of an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI), identified as 55-year-old Sukhdev Singh. The late ASI was on duty at Rawalpindi police station, and the tragic incident unfolded during his journey.

According to available information, ASI Sukhdev Singh was en route to Phagwara from Rawalpindi police station, with the intent to catch a bus to the High Court in Chandigarh for official matters. It was during this journey that tragedy struck.

Near the vicinity of Khurrampur village, ASI Sukhdev Singh's motorcycle collided with a stationary combine harvester obstructing the road. The collision resulted in immediate and fatal consequences, claiming the life of the ASI on the spot.

In response to the accident, the local authorities have taken custody of ASI Sukhdev Singh's remains, which are currently held at the mortuary of Civil Hospital Phagwara. Further procedures and investigations are underway to understand the circumstances surrounding this unfortunate incident.
