Directors of I Abroad Education Immigration Company Accused of Scam Involving Canadian Study Visa Application

CHANDIGARH: In a distressing incident, the directors of I Abroad Education Immigration Company, based in Chandigarh's Sector-42, are facing allegations of defrauding an applicant, Baljit Singh, of Rs 19.5 lakhs under the pretense of assisting in securing a Canadian study visa for his daughter, Manjot Kaur.

Baljit Singh, a Ludhiana resident, approached the I Abroad Education Immigration Company seeking assistance in applying for a Canadian study visa for his daughter. The company's directors, namely Lavish Mahajan, Vivek Saini, Gauri Mehra, and Pooja Mahajan, reportedly misled Singh into depositing a substantial sum of Rs 19,29,000 for the purported visa application.

Despite the substantial payment, Manjot Kaur's visa was not processed for several months, prompting Singh to seek an explanation from the company's directors. In response, the directors of the company, instead of addressing the issue, allegedly attempted to further delay the visa processing while making excuses to expedite the procedure. Frustrated and left with no viable options, Baljit Singh decided to report the matter to the police. Following a thorough investigation, the Sector-36 police station registered a formal case against I Abroad Education Immigration Company and its implicated directors.
