The owner of the company has further accused Bedi of cyber fraud.
A couple in Punjab has been accused of carrying out a housing fraud involving crores of rupees and has been absconding for around five months. The case is linked to a prominent housing project in Zirakpur.
An FIR was registered against former sales head Shubham Bedi and his wife Mandeep Kaur at the Zirakpur police station on September 18, 2025, for allegedly defrauding the company.
Bedi worked as the General Manager (Sales) with M/s Rosero Infra LLP. The owner of the firm, Amit Dua, alleged that Bedi conspired with his wife to cheat the company of nearly Rs 14 crore.
The couple is accused of collecting huge sums of money in cash and through bank transfers from investors on the pretext of flat allotments; however, the amount was never deposited into the company’s accounts.
As per the police investigation, the couple issued fake allotment letters without any authority, thereby misleading investors.
The FIR has been registered under Sections 316(4) (criminal breach of trust), 318(4) (cheating), and 61(2) (criminal conspiracy) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
The accused are also facing another cheating case at Patiala’s Civil Lines police station, where their bail has already been cancelled by the court, according to a report.
The owner of the company has further accused Bedi of cyber fraud. Dua alleged that Bedi is illegally misusing the company’s registered trademark “Rosero – A Revolutionary Era” on social media platforms.
The accused is allegedly using fake IDs with similar names to spread misinformation and damage the firm’s reputation. A complaint has been lodged with the SSP Mohali (Cyber Crime), demanding registration of a separate cybercrime case.
Gurpreet Singh, Investigating Officer, Zirakpur, is currently probing the case. Earlier, the case was being investigated by Fatehgarh Sahib police, but it has now been transferred to Zirakpur.
The officer stated that raids are being conducted to arrest the accused.
