National Youth Day 2024 Award News: In a moment of pride for the city, Chandigarh resident Rohit Kumar has been honored with the prestigious National Youth Award by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India. 

Rohit Kumar's outstanding contributions across various social service domains, including Environment Sustainability, Blood Donations & Awareness Camps, Education, Health & Hygiene, have been recognized with this esteemed accolade. The award was presented by the Honourable Minister Shri Nisith Pramanik, Minister of Union Home Affairs, Youth Affairs, and Sports, Government of India, emphasizing the government's acknowledgment of Rohit Kumar's exceptional efforts.

Notably, Rohit Kumar's selfless dedication during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic, particularly in the management of deceased individuals with the Indian Red Cross Society, Chandigarh, showcases his unwavering commitment to serving humanity. 

His exemplary services have earned him the National Youth Award for the year 2020-21, highlighting his significant impact on society and his commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of others.

The award ceremony took place during the National Youth Festival in Nasik, Maharashtra, as part of the National Youth Day 2024 celebrations.
