Major Blow to Drug Trafficking: Property Worth Rs 16.89 Lakh Seized from Ferozepur's Puran Singh

Seizure prevents the trafficker from selling or transferring the house

FEROZEPUR: In a strong move against drug smuggling, Ferozepur police have taken action to seize the property of a notorious drug trafficker, Puran Singh, a resident of Lakha Singh village. The property in question is a 1,410 square feet house valued at Rs 16.89 lakh. With this action, the trafficker is now barred from selling or transferring ownership of the house to anyone.

Authorities confirmed that under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act of 1985, properties of 11 drug smugglers have been seized in Ferozepur district. The combined value of these seized properties amounts to Rs 4 crore 30 lakh 31 thousand 713.

Notably, In total, the police administration in the district has identified 19 drug smugglers who accumulated properties through drug-related activities. Out of these, 11 properties, comprising residences, commercial establishments, and farms have been flagged with seizure or freezing notices, further intensifying the fight against drug trafficking in the region.
