Fire Tenders reached the spot & controlled the fire

SUJANPUR: Uproar gripped at Sujanpur police station in Pathankot, when the crop residue was set on fire in the nearby fields, which gradually moved towards the police station. Due to which, two old vehicles lying in the police station were burnt to ashes.

The police personnel present in the police station informed the fire brigade and efforts were made to control the fire. The vehicles of the fire brigade arrived and the two old cars lying in the police station had rotted away.

Police station in-charge Anil Pawar said that he had gone from the police station for investigation in a matter. When he got information about the fire, he immediately reached the spot. At present, the police have started the investigation of the whole matter that whether the left over crop residue lying in the fields was set on fire by the farmer or the fire broke out on his own.
