AMRITSAR: The Dead Body of a kidnapped girl has been recovered from Rampura village in Amritsar, Punjab. As per the sources, the child was killed by her step mother. The police has arrested the woman. However, the police officials have not officially confirmed this.

The Deceased girl has been identified as Abhiroj Jot Kaur (7). She had gone for tuition on May 15 and did not return after that. Relatives searched for her at many places but could not find any trace about her. Later, the family registered missing complaint at the Police station. The police sealed the entire village and started search operation.

Reportedly, When the CCTV installed in the village was checked, the girl was seen going with a woman and a person on a bike. After which the body of the girl child was recovered from the pond of the village.

According to the reports, Abhiroj Jot's father Ajit Singh had remarried the woman after divorce. The woman along with her sister killed the girl child. The police officials are likely to hold a press conference regarding this matter today. Details in the matter are awaited.
