CHANDIGARH: A Perceptible change in weather is underway in Punjab, bringing a noticeable drop in temperatures and heralding the onset of colder days. Rainfall, accompanied by hailstorms, has blanketed various parts of Punjab and Chandigarh, encompassing the entire North Indian region. The Meteorological Department in Chandigarh has released a weather forecast covering the period from October 13 to October 18, preparing residents for the anticipated weather variations.

The Meteorological Department's press statement issued a yellow alert for the state on both October 15 and 16, cautioning the public about the upcoming weather conditions. The alert hints at the likelihood of continued rainfall and inclement weather during these specified dates.

In Mohali, the change in weather was evident from early morning as the skies became overcast. Strong winds commenced around 8:00 AM, signaling the impending rain. The inclement weather delivered on its promise, as rain showers graced the region shortly thereafter.As the Meteorological Department's forecasts extend to October 18, the local populace is advised to stay informed and prepared for fluctuating weather patterns.
