Several schools in Punjab's Jhalandhar received threatening emails on Monday, before noon. Evacuations are currently underway, with police officials investigating the matter.
According to sources, the threatening emails have been received on the principals’ email IDs of several schools in Jalandhar.
KMV School, located near Doaba Chowk in Jalandhar, is one of the schools affected and has been evacuated.
ACP North Sanjay Kumar is on the ground. The ACP said that the cyber team is investigating the threatening emails.
During a phone conversation with DCP Manpreet Singh Dhillon, he said that the matter is currently under investigation, and threatening emails have been received by several schools across Punjab.
St Joseph’s School and Ivy World School in Jalandhar have also received threatening emails. The exact nature of the threatening emails is not yet clear, as this is still a developing story.
