
Khanda had blood cancer and was put on life support system
CHANDIGARH: Avtar Singh Khanda, the key handler of 'Waris Punjab De' chief Amritpal Singh and UK-based chief of the Khalistan Liberation Force (KLF), died in a London hospital. According to media reports, he had blood cancer and was put on life support system.
As per the reports, poison had spread in his body. The doctors have not yet confirmed the cause of death. Avtar Singh Khanda, the head of the Khalistani Liberation Force (KLF) in Britain, was close to Amritpal Singh and had links with many Pakistani extremists. Avtar Singh was the son of Kulwant Singh. He was the one who gave training to Amritpal Singh in Georgia.
Notably, Avtar Singh Khanda, helped Amritpal Singh evade the police for 37 days in between March and April. Khanda was the mastermind behind the pulling down of the Indian flag during a protest outside the UK High Commission in London on March 19.
