Prisoners at Open Jail in Nabha News: Prisoners lodged at the Open Jail in Nabha, Patiala district of Punjab, staged a protest and went on a hunger strike, accusing jail superintendent Sucha Singh of delaying their release process.

The prisoners said they were scheduled to be released on January 26. However, they alleged that negligence on the superintendent’s part, specifically the failure to forward their “good conduct” files to higher jail authorities, would force them to spend additional days in custody.
