Patiala Locomotive Works Officer Honoured with Highest Railway Service Award
Ramesh Kumar Koul, a senior officer at Patiala Locomotive Works (PLW), has been conferred with the ‘Ati Vishisht Rail Seva Puraskar’ (AVRSP) for 2025. The award is considered one of the highest individual honours in Indian Railways. It was presented by Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw at a high-profile ceremony held in New Delhi on January 9.
Koul, an officer of the Indian Railway Store Service (IRSS), was recognised for his outstanding professional excellence in the field of materials management.
