Police have registered a case under the NDPS Act against the 5 accused

PATHANKOT: Pathankot Police has succeeded in arresting five drug smugglers. The police have recovered 207 kg of poppy husk from the accused, the value of which is worth rs lakhs. The police have registered a case under the NDPS Act against the five accused in Nangal Bhur police station.

The Arrested Accused have been identified as Satwinder Singh, Rakesh Kumar, Tejwinder Singh, Gurbaj Singh and Dharminder Singh all residents of different areas of Ludhiana. Satwinder Singh, Rakesh Kumar and Tejwinder Singh were traveling in a Hyundai Verna car with registration number PB11BR9443. Gurbaz Singh and Dharminder Singh were traveling in Tata Truck No. PB12M7631.

Pathankot SP Harkmal Preet Singh Khakh said that the police party stopped another car while acting on a tip-off. SHO under the leadership of SI Shohrat Maan of police station Nangal Bhoor stopped a Verna car escort truck along with the police party and recovered 207  kg of poppy husk from the truck. All the five accused have been arrested.
