Sukhi Khan has been linked to cases involving ransom demands: Reports
BARNALA: A Dramatic encounter unfolded between the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) and alleged members of the notorious Bambiha gang in the Handiaya area near Barnala. The incident unfolded as police intercepted the accused while they were traveling in their Swift car from Bathinda. Confirming the operation, Barnala SSP Sandeep Kumar Malik revealed that a significant confrontation had occurred.
The AGTF managed to apprehend Bambiha gang shooter Sukhi Khan, along with three other individuals. However, official confirmation of the arrests is still pending.
The individuals involved are believed to be affiliated with the Bambiha gang, notorious for their criminal activities. During the encounter on Handiyaya Road, Sukhi Khan sustained injuries from the crossfire. Hailing from the Longowal village in Sangrur district, Sukhi Khan was reportedly en route to Chandigarh from Bathinda after a recent visit to Amritsar.
Reports suggest that Sukhi Khan has been linked to cases involving ransom demands. The scene of the encounter remains heavily guarded, with a substantial police presence under the direction of SSP Sandeep Kumar Malik. Authorities have made significant discoveries during the operation, recovering a cache of weapons and cartridges from the apprehended vehicle. Among those arrested are members of not only the Bambiha gang but also the Arsh Dalla gang and the Sukha Duneke gang.
The individuals in custody have been identified as Sukhjinder Singh, also known as Sukhi Khan, from Longowal; Yadwinder Singh from Mullanpur; Hushanpreet Singh, alias Gill; and Jagsir Singh, alias Billa, both from Longowal.
