Sushil Kumar elected president, Sahil Sharma elected General Secretary

Punjab Civil Secretariat Polls: In a significant departure from the norm, the Sukhchain Singh Khaira group emerged victorious in a landslide during the recent elections of the Punjab Civil Secretariat Staff Association. The election marked a departure from the historical trend of unanimous selections for office bearers, bringing a democratic process to the forefront after an extended period.

The vote counting process commenced in the evening and extended into the night. However, a disturbance marred the polling center during the counting phase, attributed to the presence of unauthorized individuals. Despite this challenge, the final results were declared late at night, affirming the comprehensive success of the Khaira group candidates, who secured victories across all posts.

Sushil Kumar clinched the position of President, while Kamaljit Kaur was elected as Senior Vice President. The Vice President positions were secured by Sandeep Kumar and Ekmeet Kaur. Sahil Sharma emerged as the General Secretary, with Mithun Chawla taking on the role of Finance Secretary. Other notable wins for the Khaira group include Sandeep Kaushal as Organization Secretary, Jagdeep Kumar as Press Secretary, and Inderpal Sandhu as Coordinator.
