CHANDIGARH: Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan on Sunday alleged that a conspiracy is being hatched to remove religious history from the school curriculum under a 'hidden agenda' to alienate students from their rich culture.

Sandhawan was addressing the function dedicated to the 300th birth anniversary of Jassa Singh Ramgarhia, the founder of the Sikh empire and 18th century general, by the Ramgarhia Sabha of Mohali. On this occasion, Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhawan invited the children to keep in touch with Sikh history.

In his address, Speaker Sandhavan said that keeping students connected with Sikh history from Rabab to Ranjit Nagade is the need of the hour. He said that if the children become good people by connecting with their history and Gurbani, then they will easily overcome the rest of the stages of life. He termed such events as a good initiative in this direction.
