Amritsar: Former Jathedar of Akal Takht, Giani Raghbir Singh, has responded to his recent termination by the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) Executive Committee. Speaking to the media on Tuesday morning, he maintained a composed stance, attributing his tenure to divine will.
Expressing gratitude, Giani Raghbir Singh stated, “I have always believed that serving at Akal Takht Sahib is a blessing of the Almighty. As per the hukum (command) of Guru Hargobind Sahib, I was fortunate to fulfill this sewa.”
Notably, he refrained from making any political statements regarding the SGPC’s decision to relieve him from his duties. His calm and spiritual response stands in contrast to the controversies that often follow such decisions.
The termination of Giani Raghbir Singh’s services has sparked discussions within Sikh circles, but he has chosen to accept the decision with humility and devotion.
