Spokesman news Service: Chandigarh, December 7: Health and Family Welfare Department Punjab today handed over the appointment letters to 215 specialists doctors at an impressive function organised at State Institute of Health & Family Welfare Mohali. Mrs. Jaspal Kaur, Director Health Services, Punjab gave away the appointment letters to the newly recruited specialists doctors on behalf of Mr. Brahm Mohindra, Health Minister, Punjab.
Disclosing this official spokesperson of the Health Department said that among the specialists doctors who were given the appointment letters included 40 doctors specialists of anaesthesia, 23 of paediatricians, 12 of dermatology, 20 of orthopaedics, 14 of pathology, 14 of ENT, 20 of psychologists, 23 of surgery,21 of medicine, 10 of gynaecologists, 2 of TB and Chests,2 radiologists, 8 eye specialists.

Similarly, preferences were taken from the 229 M.B.B.S doctors newly recruited doctors for the allotment of stations. These MOs have already were given the appointed letters. Speaking of the occasion Mrs. Jaspal Kaur said that strength of the health department has enhanced manifold with the recruitment of biggest lot of specialist and general practitioners. She said that the government has recruited record number of staff nurses, multipurpose health workers male and class four employees for the Health Department.
She said that we would now be avail to deliver quality health services to the citizen especially to the ruralites. She thanked Mr. Brahm Mohindra for their visionary and dynamic leadership for upgrading the infrastructure and strength of manpower of health department. She said all the doctors have been allotted the stations as per their choice. Meanwhile Mr. Brahm Mohindra congratulated the newly recruited specialists doctors and exhorted them to work with missionary zeal to wipe off the agonies and pains from the faces of the needy persons.
