Aam Aadmi Party said here that during the preceding SAD-BJP government’s  misrule lasting a decade and now the ruling Congress government

Chandigarh, March 7: The Aam Aadmi Party said here that during the preceding SAD-BJP government’s  misrule lasting a decade and now the ruling Congress government, led by Captain Amarinder Singh, the common man’s trust level had been severely hit. In a press statement released from party headquarters, the leader of opposition Harpal Singh Cheema said that there is no denying the fact that  government in power, like its predecessors, had belied the hopes and aspirations of the people of the state as they had failed to address their core issues and concerns.

Cheema said that employees of the state government and teachers were on warpath for their legitimate rights as the government had been callous to their demands and concerns. Debt-ridden farmers were left to commit suicides, day in and day out. The youth in the state were jobless and the menace of drugs continues to wreak havoc with the dispensation sleeping over the matter.

Cheema said the peoples’ faith had nosedived to the lowest ebb. He claimed that the anti-peoples policies of the government in power had dented the trust of the people. He said that notwithstanding the fact that the ruling Congress party made promises to bring cheer to the farmers, daily wage earners, youth, economically weaker sections of society, and so on, but all of them stood unfulfilled, he claimed.

He said that the government should come out with concrete roadman to address the issues and concerns of the distressed farmers, open up sufficient job opportunities for the youth in the state, to re-instill a semblance of faith among the people in government’s fair play, who had had enough of it during the preceding regimes.
