Who is Sandeep Thapar, Shiv Sena Leader Who Survived Sword Attack by Nihang Sikhs? Punjab witnessed a shocking scene on Friday when Shiv Sena (Punjab) leader Sandeep Thapar was attacked by three Nihang Sikhs outside the Civil Hospital in Ludhiana. He was ambushed with swords in the middle of the street. 

According to information, the attackers also seized the revolver of gunman who was accompanying Thapar before fleeing the scene on his scooter.

The assailants after following the attack in which Thapar was left critical. Initially, he was taken to the Civil Hospital but later referred to CMC Hospital. 

Who is Sandeep Thapar, Shiv Sena Leader Who Survived Sword Attack by Nihang Sikhs? 

Sandeep Thapar hails from Ludhiana. He is a Shiv Sena leader who claims to be descendant of prominent leader Sukhdev Thapar. However, the family Sukhdev Thapar has denied his claim that he was not descendant of Sukhdev.
