Andhra Pradesh to Ban Social Media for Children Under 13

the Chief Minister said that the state government had received a suggestion to ban social media access for children below the age of 13.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Friday held a discussion regarding the ideal age for restricting social media usage among minors, according to news agency ANI. The discussion was held in the state assembly.

According to ANI sources, the Chief Minister said that the state government had received a suggestion to ban social media access for children below the age of 13.

“Definitely, we will ensure there will be no access to social media for children aged below 13 years in the coming 90 days. A discussion is going on about whether the limit should be 13 years or 16 years. If everyone agrees, we will make a final decision,” the Chief Minister said, according to the source.
