Punjab Police News: One Smuggler Injured in Encounter, Investigation Underway 

Punjab Police Latest News: In a significant breakthrough, the Tarn Taran Police successfully apprehended two notorious smugglers in a daring high-speed chase spanning 40 kilometers along the Indo-Pak border. The operation resulted in the recovery of 2 kilograms of heroin, a major blow to the illicit drug trade in the region.

During the intense pursuit, one of the smugglers was arrested after a brief encounter, which left him with a leg injury. The timely action by the police has not only led to the capture of these criminals but also to the disruption of their nefarious activities.

DGP Punjab Police, Gaurav Yadav informed on 'X' Account that an FIR under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at PS Chohla Sahib, and investigations are currently underway to establish the backward and forward linkages of the drug trafficking network. The Punjab Police remains committed to realizing the vision of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann to make Punjab a drug-free state, ensuring the safety and well-being of its citizens.
