BSF Nabs Two Narco-Smugglers with Heroin in Tarn Taran, Recovers Drone in Ferozepur Latest News: In two separate anti-smuggling operations along the India-Pakistan border, Border Security Force (BSF) troops seized narcotics and recovered a drone, foiling attempts to smuggle drugs into Punjab, the ANI reported citing BSF source.
According to the report, early this morning, BSF troops launched a search operation after detecting drone movement near village Kalsian in Tarn Taran district. During the operation, two narco-smugglers were apprehended while hiding in a paddy field. On interrogation, they revealed the location of a heroin consignment nearby.
Following their disclosure, BSF personnel recovered one packet of heroin, weighing approximately 610 grams, from an adjoining irrigated field. The packet was wrapped in yellow adhesive tape, a packaging style typically used for aerial drops via drones.
In a separate incident last evening, acting on specific intelligence, BSF troops recovered a DJI Mavic 3 Classic drone from a farming field near village Barreke in the Ferozepur district. The drone is suspected to have been used for cross-border narcotics smuggling.
