A preliminary investigation has revealed the accused's links to Pakistan-based smugglers.
Ferozepur: In an intelligence-led operation, the Ferozepur Police have busted a cross-border drug smuggling module, police said on Tuesday.
During the operation, police apprehended one person, a resident of Village Chandiwala, under Police Station Sadar, Ferozepur district, Punjab.
Police recovered 5.507 kg of heroin from the accused.
A preliminary investigation has revealed the accused’s links to Pakistan-based smugglers.
An FIR has been registered, and further investigation is underway.
