Issue of irrigation is also expected to be discussed in the meeting

CHANDIGARH: Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu will once again hold an important meeting over the SYL and Water cess issue in Chandigarh. High officials of both the states will also participate in this meeting. The issue of water and irrigation is expected to be discussed in the meeting. As per the reports, the issue of promoting irrigation facilities in the drought prone areas of Haryana can also be considered.

The Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said that a meeting will be held with the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh on June 5 in Chandigarh on many important issues. High officials of both the states will also be present in this meeting. Earlier, a meeting has been held between the Chief Ministers of Haryana and Himachal Pradesh on the issue of water cess.

In this meeting, important issues like construction of Dam, Dadupur to Hamida Head New Link Channel, revival of Saraswati river, heritage development projects, bringing water of SYL canal through Himachal Pradesh, imposition of cess on electricity were discussed.
