E-Challan to be Received only via Text Message on Mobile Phone

Copy of E-challan will not be posted to residence of Violators

CHANDIGARH: Chandigarh Traffic Police has implemented a new rule regarding e-challan. Now, the E-Challan will be issued through a text message on Mobile phones. Chandigarh Traffic Police said that that the violator will also get the information about the challan on a phone call.

Reportedly, the copy of E-challan will not be posted to residence of Violators. The E-challan will be issued on the basis of CCTV footage, speed radar, handycam device installed in Chandigarh and information shared by people on social media. Police will send the challan to the registered mobile number only. Chandigarh Traffic Police has given information on its Twitter account.

Notably, People can log on www.echallan.parivahan.gov.in for pending challan. Information about previous challans can also be obtained by visiting the official website of Chandigarh Traffic Police.
