“He belongs to the generation that received information from the radio in their childhood and is now an active user of AI,” PM Modi said.

BJP working president Nitin Nabin was elected as the 12th national president of the party on Tuesday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi felicitated the newly elected BJP national president at the party headquarters in Delhi.

Outgoing BJP national president JP Nadda, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari also felicitated Nitin Nabin.

Addressing the occasion, JP Nadda said that under the leadership of PM Modi and Nitin Nabin, the BJP will “bloom the lotus in Bengal”.

“We will form the government in Puducherry and Tamil Nadu. We will return to power in Assam, and we will deliver good results in Kerala as well. We are moving forward with this confidence,” JP Nadda added.

PM Modi, also speaking on the big day, credited Nitin’s election to the national president post to the party’s “democratic faith, organisational discipline, and worker-centric approach”.

PM Modi said, “For the past several months, the organisational election process, which involves electing leaders from the smallest unit of the party all the way up to the national president, has been continuously underway in a completely democratic manner, keeping in mind the spirit and every provision of the Bharatiya Janata Party's constitution.”

“This grand organisational election process is a symbol of the Bharatiya Janata Party's democratic faith, organisational discipline, and worker-centric approach,” he added.

The Prime Minister extended his heartfelt congratulations to all the party workers across the “country for making the process a success.”

PM Modi said, "When it is about the party, Nitin Nabin is the boss, and I am a party worker."

PM Modi further stated that the next 25 years are “very important” to build a ‘developed India’, and that Nabin will carry forward the BJP’s legacy at the beginning of this crucial period.

PM Modi added that Nitin Nabin is “in a way, a millennial” and has witnessed major economic, social, and technological transformations in India.

“He belongs to the generation that received information from the radio in their childhood and is now an active user of AI,” PM Modi said.

He added that the party’s new national president possesses both “youthful energy and extensive experience” in organisational work, which is expected to benefit every worker of the party.

Further speaking, PM Modi said, “Our presidents change, but our ideals do not.”

He added that the party’s roots run deep in the soil and that it provides a platform for regional aspirations, making them the foundation for national ambitions. He further added that for these reasons, “anyone who wants to begin their political journey finds the BJP's entry point to be the best and safest option.”

He expressed confidence that his party will emerge as a “major voice” of the people in Bengal and Telangana, just as it has formed governments for the first time in Haryana, Assam, Tripura, and Odisha “through its own strength”.

Talking about Maharashtra's local body elections, PM Modi said that out of 29 major cities in the state, 25 have chosen the BJP-NDA alliance. He added that 50 per cent of all councillors elected belong to the BJP.

The prime minister further added that in Kerala, the BJP now has nearly “a hundred councillors”.

He stated that in Thiruvananthapuram, the capital of Kerala, the people “snatched” power from the Left after 45 years in the mayoral elections and placed their trust in the BJP, while expressing hope that in the upcoming assembly elections, the people of Kerala will give the BJP an opportunity.
