"They have a 'Manuvaadi' mentality, and the RSS works only for a few sections of society.
"No One from SC, ST, or OBC Has Become RSS Chief – Why So?" Asks Congress Leader Manickam Tagore: On the occasion of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) celebrating its centenary, Congress leader Manickam Tagore remarked that no one from the SC, ST, or OBC communities has ever become the RSS chief and questioned why that is the case.
Tagore criticized the RSS for, in his words, "creating a market of hatred" and accused the organization of serving the interests of only a select few in the country.
"Even after 100 years, the RSS is still busy creating a market of hatred in the country. It has denied space to the OBC, Scheduled Castes, and Scheduled Tribes. So far, no one from the SC, ST, or OBC communities has been appointed as the RSS chief. Why is that so?" Manickam Tagore said while speaking to ANI.
"They have a 'Manuvaadi' mentality, and the RSS works only for a few sections of society. The Modi government also shares the same objective—serving and promoting only the interests of capitalists. To save this country, we must all unite and fight against the market of hatred propagated by the RSS," he added.
Yesterday, during the centenary celebrations organized by the Government of India’s Ministry of Culture—where Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated as the chief guest—he claimed that the RSS does not discriminate against people on the basis of caste or untouchability.
