“The problem is with the mindset of men and they are responsible for it (crimes against women). It will be better if they stay at home during night so that our women can be saved,” Kher said while inaugurating a civil dispensary in Sector 49.

When asked about the 10-yearold rape victim delivering a bay girl, Kher said the UT administration is doing its duty and the media should not “flare up the issue”. “The minor is traumatised. She is even scared of attending school,” she said.

Speaking on the occasion, the BJP MP said the civil dispensary will “play an important role” in providing qualified health services to the people under the guidance of PGIMER, Chandigarh.
