Shopkeeper arrested for selling illicit liquor in Rajouri

Jammu: A shopkeeper was arrested for allegedly selling illicit liquor in Jammu and Kashmir's Reasi district, police said today.  

An information was received that a man, identified as Ram Saroop of Sawani village, was allegedly selling liquor among local people, a police official said.

Acting on this information, the police team from the Chatyar police post headed by sub-inspector Fareed Ahmed laid a trap in the village and nabbed him last evening, he said.  

A case under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code has been registered against the man, the official said. PTI
