New Delhi: A 12-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her neighbour in southwest
Delhi's Vasant Kunj area, following which the accused was arrested, the
police said today.
According to the police, they were informed about the incident yesterday.
The
girl claimed that she was alone at her house when her neighbour came
inside, locked the door and raped her, they said, adding that she was
rescued by her aunt who heard her cries from upstairs, but the accused
managed the escape.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (South West)
Milind Dumbere said the girl was sent for medical examination at
Safdarjung Hospital and on the basis of her statement a case was
registered.
The accused has been arrested, the officer said.
