Life term for two in 2010 murder case

Muzaffarnagar: A fast-track court has sentenced two persons to life imprisonment for killing a shopkeeper in 2010 over a money dispute in Muzaffarnagar district, an official said today.

The court sentenced Akhilesh and Kamal to life imprisonment last evening. Judge Poonam Rajput also imposed a fine of Rs 2,000 each on the two accused, the official said.


Another accused, identified as Yogesh, has been absconding. The court has issued a non-bailable warrant against him.

The case pertained to the 2010 killing of the shopkeeper, Tejpal, following some dipute over money in the district.  PTI
