Death toll in Bihar due to flood reaches 253

Patna: The death toll in Bihar floods has now increased to 253. The flood leads 1.26 crore people homeless across 20 districts in Bihar.

Bihar floods have always been disastrous for the livelihood of people around the state. Meanwhile, around 4.92 lakh surviving peoples are being served with cooked food from 2,569 community kitchens across the state. Till now, approximately 7.21 lakh people have been rescued by the teams of NDRF, SDRF and Army Jawans.

Likewise, The Central Water Commission has forecast light to moderate rainfall in parts of northern Bihar on Monday.
