Opposition Protests in Lok Sabha Ahead of Operation Sindoor Debate; House Adjourned Till 1 PM
Lok Sabha Operation Sindoor Debate Latest News– The Lok Sabha was once again adjourned till 1:00 PM on Monday after continued sloganeering by Opposition MPs.
The House had earlier been adjourned till 12:00 PM following a similar protest. However, as soon as it resumed, the house was adjourned at 12: 09PM till 1 PM today.
Addressing the protesting members, the Speaker said, "First, you ask for a debate on Operation Sindoor, then in the House, you come into the Well of the House. If you want to participate in a discussion, please take your seats. Do you want a discussion on Operation Sindoor or not?... Should I adjourn the House?"
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Home Minister Amit Shah were also present in the House.
The Lok Sabha was expected to hold a crucial debate on Operation Sindoor, the military response to the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, with Defence Minister Rajnath Singh scheduled to open the discussion. Other senior ministers, were also expected to participate, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to intervene during the session.
