Uttam Nagar murder case: The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) on Sunday carried out bulldozer action against the property of an accused, news agency ANI reported, citing officials.
The action is being taken against the property linked to the accused, Nizamuddin.
ANI added that Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, in a post on X yesterday, had warned of strict action in the matter.
In visuals from the site, two bulldozers can be seen demolishing a three-storey building. According to a report by the Times of India (TOI), only the illegal portion of the building was demolished amid heavy police and paramilitary forces deployment.

The action comes days after a 26-year-old was allegedly beaten to death on Holi in a clash between his family and their neighbours in the JJ Colony area.

DCP Dwarka, Delhi, Kushal Pal Singh, later today, speaking to News Agecy ANI, said that the investigation of the Tarun murder case is ongoing.
A total of seven individuals have been arrested so far, including a minor apprehended earlier and one additional suspect taken into custody today, all of whom are local residents, the DCP said.
Based on statements from the victim’s family and available witnesses, the case has been unfolded to include provisions under the SC/ST Act, he added.
The police officer further stated that the investigation into the case continues with efforts focused on maintaining peace in the area.
The most recent arrest has been made after verifying the family’s statements and witness accounts.
"The investigation will continue, and any further suspects identified will also be arrested," The DCP added.
