'It is a matter of pride and immense happiness'- President Murmu
NEW-DELHI: President of the country, Droupadi Murmu on Sunday (May 28) welcomed the inauguration of the new parliament building by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said it is a matter of pride and immense happiness for the entire country.
In her message on the occasion of the inauguration ceremony, the President said that the inauguration of the new Parliament building will be written in golden words in the history of the country.
She said in her message that "The inauguration of the new Parliament building is a matter of pride and joy for all the people of India." Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Harivansh read out the President's message. Describing Parliament as a guide for the country, President Murmu said the building of the new Parliament is "an important milestone in our democratic journey".
